Now, Cal’s back in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Not only did Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order nail the vibe of George Lucas’s sprawling space opera universe, tell a compelling story as a part of the official franchise canon, and deliver a memorable hero in Padawan-turned-fugitive Cal Kestis, it also delivered all the scope and polish of a modern big, budget action game. This was followed by The High Republic Phase II - set one hundred years before Phase II - which saw the Jedi attempt to mend a planetary civil war while uncovering the schemes of a Force-worshiping cult known as the Path of the Open Hand.Four years ago, on consoles one generation away, Respawn Entertainment and EA released one of the best Star Wars games in recent memory. Phase I saw the Jedi investigate and battle foes like the Nihil marauders and carnivorous plant-like Drengir, only to suffer a great defeat at the hands of the Nihil's masked leader, Marchion Ro. Taking place centuries before George Lucas' prequel trilogy, Star Wars' High Republic books explored the Jedi Order and Galactic Republic at the height of their power, introducing a brand-new roster of Jedi characters.

New tie-in comics, meanwhile, include a relaunched High Republic run under Cavan Scott, Ario Anindito, and Mark Morales, though more details about Phase III will be revealed at this year's San Diego Comic-Con.

Following it up are three new young adult novels and middle-grade novels, all of which will come out between 20. Following the September release of Star Wars: The High Republic: Tales of Light and Life, Phase III will begin with George Mann's adult novel The Eye of Darkness, which comes out November 14.
